Scooter Survival

The Ride Forever Scooter Survival training course is a half-day training course for riders who wish to improve their commuting riding skills.

This training is aimed at moped (50cc) and low powered scooter riders whose riding is primarily commuting in urban environments (up to 50km/hour)

This course is conducted on urban roads and includes opportunities for riders to interact with medium to heavy traffic flows.

Competencies and riding task syllabus:


  • Observation
  • Interaction and communication with other road users
  • Machine control
  • Road rules and safe following distances
  • Common commuter hazards
  • Moving in and out of the traffic flow
  • Turning back
  • Riding straight roads
  • Riding curves

Course cost:

Normally costing as little as $20, we are waiving the booking fee for courses booked between 20th February 2024 and 31st March 2024 (meaning you get your course for FREE!). This is a great opportunity to build on your skills with some of New Zealand's most experienced riding coaches.
